*NEW!* Dream: The Old Apartment and the Funeral

The dream begins with me entering this funeral parlor.  But it was an older style parlor, and I did so in the outfit, appearance, and power of Rogue Dragon, one of the super heroes that I've written about in my books.  Upon entering I discovered that the funeral was for an old saint. a general of the faith, who had recently passed on.  I also remember that the people standing in the room, as well as the room itself, seemed to be bathed in light.  Even the casket was covered in light to where it almost glowed.  I then left the parlor and found myself in a reception hall.  There wasn't the same light in there, but it was reasonably lit.  Something else was odd about that room too.  Unlike one would expect, rather than weeping and tears, everyone sat around tables eating, and drinking, and making merry like it was a wake rather than a funeral.

I remember seeing a lot of old friends there, and even my mom.  I remember saying hi to them, but most didn't even acknowledge that I was there, as they were too busy with other things, or just fellowshipping with each other.  I tried to walk around the table and talk with my mom, but the way the table was setup, you couldn't get behind it without pulling it out because everyone was backed up against the wall, and the table against htem, making it impassable.  So I just sat down across from them and spent time there even though nobody was looking at me, or showing that they knew I was there.  In the middle of this some kind of security incident happened and the cops came in.

They were the only ones who said anything to me, and it was basically fully police procedural as they checked each person to see if they had any weapons or contraband on them, and then let them go one at a time.  This continued on until the hall was nearly empty.  I was one of the last to leave and followed the others out.  I then found myself in this old, run down, beatup, probably late 70's apartment that looked every bit abandoned.  Yet, it felt familiar, like I'd gone back in time.  But none of the artifacts there were anything I had ever owned.  They were just 70's era stuff like furniture, couches, etc.  Now here's where it gets interesting.  I then spent the better part of 30 minutes walking around that place trying to understand why I was there.

And the wildest part is, unlike normal dreams that drift over time, floor plans change, stuff disappears, new things appear, etc, this never did.  The entire thing maintained a perfect consistency all the way through.  Rooms, hallways, stairs, everything.  And let me tell you, that place was in some REALLY, REALLY bad shape.  It was literally an abandoned wreck like nobody had lived there in ages.  I even commented in the dream how much of a ghetto the place was.  There was even a place in the kitchen with a deep hole in it that went through the wall and downward into blackness like someone had taken an acme cartoon drill and burrowed into the depths of the earth with the kitchen as the starting point for that.

So I decide to get a look into it, since I can't see much past the opening due to the darkness and thus decide to cast an illumination sphere and throw it down the hole.  That is, until I realize that, despite being in the persona of Rogue Dragon, I have no powers.  That was a bit surprising because Rogue is so broken and stupidly powerful that if he sneezes funny stuff gets completely deleted.  And not intentionally, either.  Just "sneeze" and city blocks cease to exist.  Yet, I had access to none of his power.  It was like I was cosplaying as him, but unable to actually be him.  And, going back to the consistency thing, one part intrigued me.  While walking through a walk in closet in the dream I found a flashlight.  One of those little pocket Crees.

And, even wilder, it operated exactly how I know that they do, and did so perfectly on all its multiple modes.  Anyhow, I took that and continued my exploration.  Eventually I reached the back of this absolutely vast and massive apartment and found, lying on the floor, this really old dog.  I don't remember the breed, but it was one of the bigger ones, almost like a German Shepherd, but a bit different.  He looked so incredibly sad and dejected like his spirit was broken.  I could also tell he was old and weak.  He initially looked at me, but didn't move.  Eventually though, he got up and walked over to me, and kinda struggled as he did.  I happily greeted him, and even gave him a quick, friendly pet before returning to my search, which he seemed to appreciate.

Not long after I found a back door in the apartment.  However, that led outside into this snow covered, icy cold winter landscape.  There was a neighborhood out there too with houses, but they all looked dark and abandoned, the sky was that deep, gray, winter gloomy, and I didn't feel it would be safe going out there.  So I returned to the apartment to continue searching.  One thing I will state is I did find several other possible exits from the apartment, but those seemed a bit odd.  One was a really wonky staircase that looked more like interpretive art than anything functional.  Another was this derelict room full of closets.  But when I opened up each one, only one had a floor in it.  The rest all appeared to connect to staircases that led to other apartments.  Not outside.

Just like it was the access method to reach the other units in the building, and every last one of them, including the stairs and the hallways looked absolutely run down and derelict like the rest of the place.  I also found one set of somewhat dark stairs that led to a lower floor, and what looked like a doorway that was under my feet, or under the stairs, that was sending some shadow of light into the stairway room.  I was made to know that this led to a door that led to a VBS (vacation bible school) that was being held.  I didn't explore that, but I could feel life coming from that whereas everything else felt dead and abandoned.  So I almost suspect that was the solution to this odd dream puzzle because the only other viable door lead to, what I would call, death.

I also remember, going back to Rogue, trying to call for Roku and Rika, Rogue's two mimics, to help me unravel this little mystery, but I couldn't even summon them.  I legit had no access to any of his powers despite being him in the dream.  Or, at least dressed like him.  Anyhow, the dream then ended after spending a half hour fruitlessly searching for answers, and a viable way out of the place.

Reasons I think this dream was from God:

1.  It was consistent.  Very, very consistent.  Like, I could walk out of a room, go somewhere else for a while, come back, and the room hadn't changed.  Regular dreams aren't like that.  They're inconsistent and always changing.  I could legit turn on lights in this place, open and close doors, look out windows, etc, and everything always remained the same no matter how many times I left or came back into a room.

2.  Everything felt real.  Like, I could taste, touch, smell, interact with, etc everything that was in both parts of the dream.  I even felt the fur of the dog, their bony frame, the must and decay of the apartment, people's skin, etc.

3.  It was highly memorable.  Like, I still remember so much detail about it as though I'd actually walked it in real life, and not in a dream scape.
