Okay, I've got an interesting dream for you guys that I think you'll like. This one, though, feels kinda "slice of life" as I see no prophetical significance of it. Just kinda "dream brain fun." Anyhow, the dream starts out with me in a dorm house belonging to my former hometown's high school not far from the campus. IE, sorta like a boarding school dorm. Anyhow, as I was in between doing stuff for school I decided, "I'm hungry, but there's no food on this side of town, unless I want gas station burritos, and week old hotdogs, so I'm gonna walk to the other end of town (about 3 miles) and get me some food there" as that's where all the restaurants are at in my old hometown. So I head out of the dorm and start walking.
As I do, a classmate and her friend, seeing me leaving, run to catch up and immediately tackle me onto the sidewalk. Now having stopped me, the friend went back and my classmate stayed. She laughed about what they'd just done, and made it clear that they were just playing around like they were doing tag team on me for fun. Anyhow, as I got up and made as though I'd continue walking, my classmate asked me where I was going. I replied, "I'm hungry, so I'm going to get some food." indicating that I intended to go to the other end of town. To this she smiled kindly, folded her hands behind her back playfully, and leaning into me, asked "Would you like to go to dinner?" Um, what? lol
Like, the way she did it, her smile, the love in her eyes, you could tell she liked me. And not just liked me. Like, LIKED me kinda liked I can't call it love necessarily as I hadn't known her enough to pin a tail on that. But man, she was definitely into me, and you could easily tell that much. I just shrugged, and said, "Sure. I can do that. Got any ideas where we should go?" and she shrugged in reply, and said, "Wherever you want to go." Okay, so we're apparently now on a date or something. Anyhow she then wrapped her arms around my right arm and just kept smiling with joy and happiness and...well, love? Maybe. Anyhow, as we walked we talked about a great many things.
We even took scenic detours through some of the stores downtown and shopped a bit, but stayed with me like glue, even when things got weird. We then eventually made it to the far end of town where all the restaurants are, and she points to this new diner that was opened where the old Arby's was (and currently is). I ask, "You wanna go there?" and she got all excited. So we go up to the front door, walk in, and wait by the front desk where a hostess greets us and sets us at a table. Shortly after we get sat down, her friend, and his buddy, show up, and kinda impose themselves on us. Not "welcome, you are invited," but rather "hi, we're having dinner here and you're paying." Like, the rude kinda table guests you don't want, but show up anyways. So we then start talking and I quickly realize this guy is an arrogant sod.
His friend, however, is more along for the ride, and is the nervous sidekick to Mr. King of Rudeness himself. The girl who came with me is clearly upset by this, and feels really embarrassed with having him there. But at the same time she doesn't wanna make a scene because I'm there. Why not, I don't know, but okay. Anyhow, I tolerate him too, but only because she is, so we're both kinda at fault for not kicking him out. Anyhow, the hostess comes by with our menus and I start reading through it. I swear, this restaurants menu was gangster themed or something. Maybe even a bit of Halloween and a few other things. Trust me, really weird place even though the ambiance was very family themed.
Anyhow, as I'm reading through the menu the dishes were named after things mobsters either do to people, or the people they do them to. As I'm reading, the dishes were called "Witchcraft", "Heartless Murder", "The Smashed Thumb", "The Snitch", etc. Like, really disturbing names. Anyhow, I start reading what each one is about and, oddly enough, "The Snitch" sounded pretty appetizing. It was like this three meat sandwich, and a good sized one at that. So anyhow, we order, and the woman's friend gets the "Witchcraft" meal, his buddy gets "The Smashed Thumb," I order "The Snitch", of course, and the girl orders "The Bloody Rose" meal, which is basically just a salad with lots of tomatoes. Mine came with this colorful farmer's baseball cap over it with the name fo the dish on the front.
I lifted the hat and it was actually a really delicious, and large sandwich underneath. Also, as a point of interest, the girl's friend sat directly across 180 degrees in from me, his friend at ninety to my left, but the girl? She wasn't 90 to my right. Like, she sat so close to me that she was almost sitting in my lap. Like, literally she was scotched right up against me and loving every moment of it. Like, okay, I admit, maybe she did love me, but wow. Zero personal space and all we were at that point were just classmates. Still, I mean, if I'd wanted to, I could've asked her to date me and she probably would've tackle hugged me out of joy she liked me so much. :) I mean, even though I didn't want to go THAT far in thinking about her, it was pretty clear she...really, really, really liked me. ^_^;; Anyhow, that's where the dream ended.
Also, her "friend" that forced himself into our meal sat there and stared at me with this dark, almost demonic shadow and fog all around him, perfectly fitting the meal (The "Witchcraft") that he ordered. His friend was similar, but probably half of what he was, and felt more like the meal he ordered, which was "The Smashed Thumb," which would fit with the idea of him being an enforcer to the friend's evil. I don't know what significance the names of our meals would have given their names, but I did find that somewhat interesting. And yes, the burger was really good. So were the included fries. And no, I didn't keep the hat. lol.
