Turning a Monday into a Sunday

If you're confused about the meaning of the title, allow me to explain briefly.  For most people, Monday is seen as the worst day of the week.  Even Garfield hates it, and he's a cat. :)  Inversely, for the Christian, Sunday is seen as the best day of the week as we get to go to church and worship our Lord and Savior. :)  Hence, best day of the week. ^_^  Well, anyhow, with that introduction aside, allow me to explain how today (Monday) became the best day of my week.

So, anyhow, I woke up this morning, got my stuff together, and headed out to my car to drive down to my dads for a visit.  However, when I got there, I found the car sitting at an odd angle.  I know that car well enough that this immediately jumped out at me.  So what do I do?  I checked the tires, and yep, both rears are flat.  Bummer.  So I get out the air pump and try inflating the tires.  Nothing.  They literally would not inflate.  So I run my hands across the tire tread looking for air leaks, figuring I'd somehow run over something that'd punctured both rear tires at the same time, yet had somehow miraculously missed the two front tires.

Trust me, I'm coordinated enough that I can do that kinda stuff blindfolded. ;)  lol.  Anyhow, finding nothing I then notice this weird mark on my tire.  So I shut off the pump, and yep, there's air escaping somewhere.  I then notice this weird mark on the side.  So I turn on the pump and, yep, air is gushing out of the hole.  In my sidewall.  Made by a knife.  Yep, it's Monday. lol.  Turns out that happened with both tires.  So I call the police, report it, get with the insurance company, get the car toed, and all that jazz.  Now, here's the part where my Monday became a Sunday, if you're wondering.

When I got to the tire shop, come to find out, I learned that it was a good thing that someone had stabbed my tires because all four of them were dry rotting and were close to failing catastrophically.  Now, think back to what I was just about to do when I found the two flats.  Uh-huh.  Seeing where this is going?  Yes, it cost me $750, plus tow fee, to get the tired replace, all four of them in fact.  However, by God letting the Devil send someone to my apartment to knife my tires (The police think the guy mistook my car for someone else's) He actually saved me from a potentially deadly blowout and accident.

So God let the Devil do harm to me, in order to bless me, and protect my life, and the amazing blessing and gift that my car is.  What the enemy meant for evil, God used for good, and wow, what an incredible gift, and blessing it was.  I'm still a little bummed about having to go through all this, and the money I had to fork out because of this.  However, given the amazing blessing and protection that God provided in all this, yeah, I can eat that cost for new tires.  And, on a small side note, the insurance company said they will cover part of the costs, so that's gonna help a bunch too.  Anyhow, just wanted to share that news of the amazing, wonderful, and humbling blessing that God gave me today, on a Monday of all days at that! ROFL! :)
