Interesting Observations on OWC in Review

Well, as some of you know, I've been taking some time off from writing because I hit a major piece of writer's block near the next of Offworld Chronicles (OWC) book 4 just short of finishing that chapter in this surprisingly long saga. (7 straight books is huge for me)  Anyways, as I've been working to get my writing mojo back (apparently part of it is due to lack of sleep), I've been going back and reviewing OWC1-2 trying to refresh my mind on facts that were set down in those two books that I might have forgotten that I need to use in books 3-4, and which might help jar my mind on what all is happening on the world of Offworld.  In doing so it gently dawned on me the uniqueness of the transitions between each of the various sections of the course.

Between hextant's 1 and 2 is the bridge over Golden Canyon.  Between 2 and 3 is the field of flowers and the dividing tree.  And between three and four is the stone gate into the White Mountains.  What the next two divisions will be, I'm not sure.  But either way I thought it was interesting thinking about the uniqueness of the transitions between the various sections.  Each one so far has been unique, even though I didn't set out to make them as such.  So it makes me kind of excited, as I'm sure it does you as well, to know what those next two will be.  Oddly enough, I already know what the last node/checkpoint on the course will be and what it looks like, but not the next two hextant dividers. ^_^

But hey, that's half the fun of writing as quite often even the writer doesn't know what's coming ahead.  We might have a general idea, but in the overall picture, we can only guess because, as the old saying goes, no outline ever survives the rough draft.  And that is so, so true.  But, either way it's gonna be fun.  I'm still planning on having 7 books at this time, but again, that will all depend on how the story shakes out.  But we'll see.  I won't know for sure until I get further into the story. :)
