Over the past year or so, God has occasionally been using Memes, of all things, to speak with me about a lot of things that I apparently won't hear any other way. Case in point, while crawling one of my favorite picture groups today I came across a meme with this quote on it:
"Something stressful and painful is about to exit your life to be replaced with something wonderful and beautiful. Are you ready?"
Normally I'd read that, think it was cool, and keep scrolling....except for the fact that I'd just gotten done with something the day before that was very stressful and painful. The sad part is, it ain't over yet, even though one big part of it just finished yesterday, as some parts of it still remain even today. As such, I figure things aren't quite over with this just yet. (I'll spare you the messy details of what happened, aside from the fact that the whole experience so far has just flat out sucked) Either way, I found that statement to be really interesting, as though God was saying, "It'll be okay, because something great is about to come out of this." That, in turn, immediately brought to mind a vision God had given me some months back about a graveyard in my life that He was going to remove.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can read about it here to get yourself up to speed on everything: Vision: The Removal of the Graveyard
That, in turn, then reminds me of Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." It also reminds me of something that CS Lewis once said: “We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be.” It makes me wonder what good God has in store for me given how badly I've been getting brush hogged lately. ^_^;; Anyhow, I just wanted to share that with you as it really encouraged me when I saw that, and really hit home with me given all I've been through the past several weeks.
