The Blessing Of The Soda Can

A very interesting blessing happened to me today.  I went over to the store to cash in soda cans and buy some groceries.  When I went I knew I didn't have much money, even so I wanted to pick up a couple of things.  So I figured as long as it was within my limited budget I would be fine.  Well on the way to the store I came across a soda can laying on the sidewalk. Figuring, "Hey, an extra dime," I picked it up.

I then arrived at the store, cashed in the cans, went and got my stuff, and began cashing out. Much to my surprise however the bill was a tad higher than I'd expected.  Even with the bottle deposit slip having knocked the total down a lot, it was still rather high.  Even so I opened my wallet and was quietly praying that I'd have enough.  Sadly, I didn't.  The bill was for $14.56 and I only had $14 even in my wallet.  So I went digging in my pocket and came up with, get this...64c. It then dawned on me at that moment that, had God not put that extra can in my path, I wouldn't have had enough money and would've actually been short by 2c.

Now how's that for an interesting Saturday blessing?  I went to the store unknowingly 2c short and came home 8c rich. Isn't God pretty cool like that? :)
